Different Genres for Games

Action
Action is like car chases shoot outs wrestling etc.
Stuff with fighting and other stuff which is classed as action. Example Games: Call of duty, Halo, Battle Field

Adventure
Adventure is like traveling around maps finding stuff surviving against enemies and building things to help with survival. Example Games: Minecraft, Terria, Castle Miner

Arcade
This is like simple games that are addictive and ongoing some only have one level and you just collect stuff to win or keep going till you die. Example Games: Pac Man, Tetris, Candy Crush

Puzzle
This is where you would have find and place stuff in certain places. Example Games: Tetris, Helix, Chess
 

Role Playing
This is where you would take the role of a certain character and do adventures and quests to decide you fate. Example Games: Skyrim, Assassins creed, Saints Row

Trivia
This is where you would have to answer questions with a right and wrong answer. Example Games: Millionaire, Deal Or No Deal, Monopoly

Sport
Sport games are now more interactive were you can actually get exercise from playing the game. Example Games: Wii Sports, Golf, Fifa

Horror
This type of genre is to try and scare or shock the player so that they are on edge as they play the game waiting for something to pop out. Example Games: Slender Man, House Of The Dead, Resident Evil


 

Shooter
Shooters are games that you go around killing people with a selection of guns and that’s the only way to win. Example Games: Time Crisis, Splinter Cell, House Of The Dead

Casino
Casino games are mostly 18+ because they involve gambling were you can earn fake money or even real money and also lose it. Example Games: Poker, Slot Machine, Coin Dozer

Racing
Racing games are simple but the aim is to get first place by using upgrades or skill and also these games can vary from cars and bikes to planes and space ships. Example Games: Forza, Need For Speed, Mario Cart
